Hi there, I’m Frankie....
I am an endorsed private midwife.
Firstly, I am a woman with a heart for all things related to birth and motherhood.
I believe that birth is a normal life event, transformative and sacred, that all women should have full autonomy over their bodies and decisions throughout the journey to motherhood.
I am passionate about providing midwifery care to women and their families that lead them on the pathway to discover that they have the innate ability to birth intuitively and that through this they can experience an empowering and positive birth.
I graduated as a midwife in 2014 from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, NSW and have worked across various areas of
midwifery - including a large tertiary hospital on the Gold Coast & Midwifery Group Practice,
providing continuity of midwifery care to over 200 women and their families.
I am married to my best friend & lover and we have two gorgeous adult children.
I experienced two very different births with both my children which ultimately inspired me to work with women on their birth journey
and to see them emerge from their experiences with minimal intervention, feeling both physically and emotionally well.

So why am I "The Mustard Seed Midwife"?
As a woman of faith, the biblical story about ‘having the faith the size of a mustard seed’ has been one of my favourite story’s.
What I love about the mustard seed is that it is one of the smallest, most insignificant seeds, yet it grows into a tree reaching around ten feet tall in just a few months. For a seed to achieve its greatest potential, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out and everything changes. This powerful seed has so much potential within it and once planted, can overcome anything.
In fact, no obstacle can stop its growth - it is persistent and does not give up.
As women journey through pregnancy and prepare for birth, they undergo a transformative process.
There is an undoing that occurs and a level of faith required. Through the journey you are put back together, but you are not the same!
As a midwife, I feel my role is to water that faith through the care I provide - encouraging women to believe in their innate ability to give birth and that they can overcome any obstacle, fear or doubt and experience birth as they were marvellously created and designed to!
